i have not abandoned this blog. please believe me when i write here that i have been thnking about updating it. pity that we have not yet reached that level of technology when i can just think of what i want to write and then just transmit it into cyberspace, kan? with all the funky tech these days however, i really would not be surprise if such tech is literally just around the corner lah. think implants. BAM!

so last i left you was hanging on the kinabalu story. and looking around, i found that uncle had described the experience quite nicely actually. so head over to his blog and read about the story here, here, here and here.

upon returning to kota kinabalu, we found ourselves juxtaposed between the old and the new where it comes to shopping experiences. the new, in the form of malls that has seemed to have sprouted everywhere since i last visited kota kinabalu. typical of malaysian culture kan. yes, we shore love our malls.

but kota kinabalu has retained its famous and i do mean FAMOUS fresh produce market which beats the backsides of the modern concrete malls, hands down! the fish were plentiful and ginormous, the vegetables still had dirt on them – that is how fresh they are! and here is the best part, they were CHEAP! needless to say, we feasted, oh boy, we feasted. and we dream of feasting some more.
