the past two weeks have just been all over the place. trips to the hospital. raya haji. a photo project. a music project. two writing projects. work’s been interestingly busy too – the good kind, finally. the kind i can go home after, feeling that strange sense of accomplishment that someone actually appreciated.
it certainly feels like december. all the crazy sprints for the finish line. everything scrambling to fall into place.
and i – i would actually like to be in a daze as all of this happens. and phaze out. and dream. and be all romantic and nostalgic about 2008.
long and slow. that is what the end of the year SHOULD be like, and how i am DETERMINED for it to be. no sudden movements. there will be excitements – ’tis the season to be jolly, after all – but all in good fun. good, CLEAN fun, i must insist. no more freaks jumping out of cardboard cakes. no more three headed fire-breathing dragons hiding behind the door.
i’m going with the classics for the rest of the month, at least. drink lemongrass tea. or camomile. hot chocolate and marshmallows laced with cinnamon. read really thick books. listen to john mayer. watch the rain fall.
